How to use Microsoft Teams to build a high-quality remote video conference interview system

Microsoft Teams is a communication and collaboration software that integrates functions such as chat, video conferencing, document storage (including file collaboration), and Office 365.

As Microsoft #Teams has added Hardware Out support for compatible AJA hardware, setting up a #remote interview with multiple interviewees from different locations couldn’t be easier. Once enabled by a Teams administrator, users simply click on the Permissions tab, turn on broadcast capabilities, then select “Hardware Out” for the connected AJA device such as a T-TAP Pro, which allows Teams to simultaneously output broadcast quality video via both HDMI and SDI outputs.

On the interviewees' end, users can deploy a U-TAP HDMI to bring professional connectivity and high-quality video capture to the Teams. These videos can then be sent to Microsoft Teams servers, making them available on the internal SDI facility at the interviewer's end, by utilizing the above setup.

To further enhance the workflow, users can add a KUMO 1616-12G for easy signal routing of multiple sources and destinations; a Ki Pro GO for 4-channels of ISO redundant recording to off the shelf USB drives and network storage; and a HELO for streaming the PGM out live to a CDN while recording it to the same network storage simultaneously.

A simple setup that provides a sophisticated solution; one that you can deploy today.
